DAITK™
Our AI research project for defence logistics and procurement intelligence.
Built by people who have spent decades inside the systems it’s designed to accelerate. Grounded in 85 years of defence procurement expertise.
Domain expertise first. AI second.
DAITK grew out of a simple observation: the people who know defence procurement best spend enormous time on manual lookups, cross-references, and document parsing. We’re exploring whether AI — built by people who understand the domain — can change that.
Developed and owned by a Canadian company. No foreign data dependency by design.
Built by people who have spent decades navigating FLIS, NSNs, NCAGE codes, and DND procurement cycles — not by people learning the domain from a briefing document.
We’re not trying to replace procurement officers. We’re trying to eliminate the tedious parts of their job.
Interested in what we’re building? We’re open to conversations with procurement professionals, defence contractors, and potential integration partners.
AI applied to a domain we know deeply.
DAITK is our exploration of how large language models and AI tooling can be applied to federal logistics, NATO cataloguing systems, and defence supply chain management — a domain Dibblee Industries has operated in for over 85 years.
Intelligent Procurement Analysis
Ask a plain-language question about a procurement document — an RFP, a Standing Offer, a technical specification — and get a direct answer. DAITK reads what procurement officers write and surfaces what supply chain managers need, without manual parsing.
FLIS & NSN Data Intelligence
Ask “Who manufactures NSN 4010-21-900-1132?” and get the manufacturer, CAGE code, country of origin, and current status in under two seconds — directly from Federal Logistics Information System data. Over 3,000 NATO Stock Numbers indexed, searchable, and cross-referenced across federal supply classifications and NCAGE codes.
Supply Chain Risk & Resilience
Automated alternative sourcing, cross-reference validation, and supply chain mapping. When a link in the chain breaks, DAITK identifies alternatives before the mission is compromised.
Works Inside Your AI Assistant
DAITK connects directly to AI tools your team already uses — no new portal, no separate login. Ask procurement questions in plain language and get answers drawn from live FLIS data, without exposing sensitive information to external servers.
Bilingual by Design
Fully operational in both official languages, reflecting Canada’s commitment to linguistic duality across federal procurement.
Other companies are discovering defence. We’ve been here since 1940.
Dibblee Industries has supplied marine hardware, anchor chain, and industrial components to the Department of National Defence and Canadian shipyards for over eight decades. We understand procurement not as an abstraction but as a daily operational reality — the NSNs, the NCAGE codes, the technical specifications, the delivery schedules, the compliance requirements. DAITK is our attempt to apply AI to that domain in a way that’s actually useful.
DAITK isn’t AI bolted onto a defence brochure. It’s a research project by people who have spent decades navigating the systems it’s trying to improve.
Montréal-based. NATO-catalogued. AI-powered.
DND, PWGSC, Defence Investment Agency, allied procurement, FLIS/NSN intelligence, ITB compliance analysis.
Fleet maintenance logistics, parts identification, specification cross-referencing, in-service support optimisation.
Supply chain intelligence for remote operations, equipment parts sourcing, specification compliance, vendor qualification.
MCP server integration, API connectivity, enterprise AI deployment, secure data architecture.
DAITK is an active internal R&D project. We are exploring FLIS data integration, procurement document parsing, and MCP server architecture as tools to improve how we and our clients navigate defence procurement. This is not a commercial product — it’s a research project that may become one.
